WSA regards safety and rescue skills as essential disciplines that all SUP instructors must understand and be able to demonstrate competency in rescue techniques. This one day course is designed to teach the fundamental rescue skills and safety knowledge for aspiring SUP instructors.
This is a one day course based in Newquay, Cornwall and a prerequisite for WSA Foundation SUP instructor assessment.
The course contains both theory and practical but we aim to spend most of the day on the water if possible.
After this course you'll you'll be able to attended the WSA Foundation SUP Instructor course, which we are running the day after this course at the same venue.
To join the course you'll need to first register for WSA individual membership using the link below. The cost is £60 and includes a water license and full insurance.
Please bring SUP equipment if you have it. If not, we can provide a range of boards and kit to try.
There is parking on site but it's limited so if you're driving please arrive early to avoid street parking.
We have changing room, with toilets and showers, as well as secure storage for valuables.
