The Adventure Guide is a leadership award that will equip you to coach, lead or guide in open water, hazardous environments. You will gain knowledge in various environments suitable for the remit of the award, safety in these environments and leadership strategies. Prior to attending this course you must have attended the WSA Foundation course and the WSA SUP Safety and Rescue course.
The WSA Adventure Guide Training Course will be based from Newquay Cornwall, however it will be run on a number of different water venues around Cornwall to maximise the Adventure element remit of the award and will look to develop skills and leadership in the environments paddled.
There will be a consideration of the kit and equipment relevant to the leader and the groups in their charge as well the capabiltiies of groups and what can be achieved whilst maintaining the safety framework and for all the paddlers.
The course fee includes WSA documentation and award handbook.
